So today my PC has started acting up and I know I need a new PSU. But I have MBM 5 and ASUS Probe running at the same time. MBM 5 reports everything is stable. Probe says my voltages and fan RPMs and temps are all over the place. CPU fan spiking up to 9000RPM and then dipping to 2000. It says my +5V line is anywhere between 4V and 6V. But the whole time, MBM 5 is stable...

sooooo...which application should I trust?

do not run both applications at the same time

probe gives you mb and cpu socket temps

mbm gives you mb, cpu socket and cpu diode temps

Drop asus probe and just use mbm5. IF you check the voltages and fan speeds in the bios hardware monitor, you'll find the values match those of mbm5.

thx for the responses...

Should I be worried that probe is saying my #'s are all over the place?

If your CPU fan actually hit 9000 RPM I don't think you'd need a monitoring program to tell you.

Stick with MBM.
