Influence CPU overclocking

Hi,

Is it true that as I overclock my FSB, my videocard wil be overclocked automatically as well?

If that is so, then:

1) by increasing my fsb and overclocking my videocard, the performance of my videocard can even be higher

or

2) I have to overclock my CPU first and second I start searching my videocard's max. Otherwise the changed FSB settings will cause my videocard to perform higher and cause abnormalities in games and benchmarks.

Well.. you kinda got the point.

OC'ing the mobo FSB would increase the amount of data transfered to the AGP.

Whether or not your vid-card will improve much from the increase FSB, I'm not sure. I'll leave that for the pro's to answer.

But in theory, yes.

Its just like if you change out your processor with your VC OC'ed You will get higher Benches. My Benches went up 1000 or more when i upped my FSB by only 11 or 15 more while my VC was oc'd.

so in essence, Yes, higher FSB will Make your card work better.

Your MB has a adjustable AGP lock...and the PCI bus is locked at 33Mhz...your best thing to do when OCing is to lock the AGP at 66Mhz so you will take the AGP out of play when OCing...you will have the options from auto (will be adjusted to the FSB setting) up to 100Mhz...in 1Mhz adjustments...

You guys are missing the point..overclocking the fsb on the mobo will increase the data bandwidth a little, but the video card is still not overclocked in the way we reffer to it here.
To clock a vid card, you need to increase the speed of the GPU (Graffics Processing Unit) sometimes called the "core", and the video mem as well.
Like O'C'ing PC's video cards are an art to clock up, and not all will let you do anything over stock. Some will not show any benefit to clocking up, whereas some others will. Some will show better performance with the mem left alone while the gpu is o'c'ed, some will be the oposite, and some will do both.

Powerstrip will work with a vast majority of vid cards out there, and should help overclock other cards that don't have the options in the driverset, like Nvidia has.

Bottom line is overclocking your fsb will increase your thruput, but by how much I dunno.

My card was already overclocked when i Upped my FSB. I got 1000 points more from the Higher FSB while i left the AGP Mhz alone. 66mhz.
