a7n8x with barton 2500+

would this be a good set up
im planning on getting this setup and overclocking it
since the barton 2500+ is 1.83, would i be able to get it around 2.5 or more with this board

I think the consensus around here is that the Abit NF7-S Rev 2.0 is the best overclocking board out there w/ the nforce2 ultra chipset. The A7N8X Deluxe offers alot of great features, but won't give you the best control for OC. As far as hitting 2.5 GHz, that is highly doubtful on a 2500+ Barton without H20 cooling or better. I'd say 2.4 GHz is the upper limit on air with these CPUs.

2.5ghz is posible with air cooling but you have to have the right stepping, don't know what the right stepping is since bartons are still kinda new

i know one person who's got his barton 2500+ to 2.5ghz at DEFAULT vcore, this is his stepping AXDA2500DKV4D AQXDA0315TPAW

most ppl get to 2.3 with default vcore....

i really want to get a barton :/
