hi,

just got 8RGA+,but when the computer
is shut off,the USB won't power down?
its supposed to power down and off...

how i get rid off that stupid epox
BOOT/POST screen,wanna only see
the regular/normal BOOT/POST

it came with bios dates back to feb/03,
do i need to flash new bios?
should i flash in DOS or windows?

it seem to take longer to boot into winxp,
it hangs a bit,maybe there's some issues
with the drivers from the CD?

how are the newer drivers?
is it OK to use drivers from nvidia's website?

thanks

Sorry I can't answer all your questions but----
In bios there are 2 settings to enable/disable all the Epox mumbo jumbo on the screen--

My bios was also from feb. and I have not had any probs with it, if its working fine--don't mess with it--my 2cents

1. Some boards have power on functions that use the mouse or keyboard, which includes USB. Check in the power section of the BIOS.

2. Theres an option in the BIOS for the Epox logo and the EPA logo.

3. Don't know much about the versions, so can't say much there. I would say flash from DOS, just to be safe, thats what I do.

4. Hard to say, lots of things can affect boot times, use the forum search to find out more.

5. I used Nvidia's newest drivers right from the start and they work great.

Hope that helps!

hi,

thanks for the replys :)
ok,the USB still won't shut off?
tried disable everything USB in bios,
but still it just won't power down? :(

this is really very annoying having to turn
on/off and plug/unplug USB deveices every
time the computer is turn on or off

and its also very bad for the plug and socket
of the USB devices, having to repeatly being
plugged and unplugged every damn time

this is not normal, maybe even design
flaw/defect, on my other 2 computer,
abit/intel and soltek/amd the USB works
normal.when computer is off,USB is off too

does anyone knows epox tech support email?
epox's website only has that stupid form crap
that require u to put serial#,version#,etc crap

can't believe epox gonna make people open
their cases to look for some stupid serial#
with a magnify glass and flash light just to
get some tech support

i got the 8rga+ and it works perfectly for me... with windows xp pro, 512MB of generic ram and a maxtor 30GB drive. maybe theres a short circuit somewhere on the board, or you need to update the drivers on everything?
