Pay especially close attention to the posts by graystar and billa... They explain the best method to use to get the flattest possible HS base.

There's someone in this link who provides little sanding kits with higher-grit sandpaper. I'm thinking of giving it a go since I normally don't have the time to go browsing in a store for some.

It'd be nice if some online stores carried higher-grit sandpaper.
