Newbee, 1st build all ready, awaiting delivery.
As of 10 days ago, I knew NOTHING about OC'ng, bios, MLB, RAM (well a little bout ram), forums, cases, proc's (well, just a little intel)..., and I have been researching at least 10+ hours a day every day (my girlfriend hates my "project".)
I am awaiting delivery of Barton retail newegg 2500+, NF7-S REFURB from newegg, so rev. =?, have a $20 (after rebate) pacific digital cr-w, maxtor 120 gig, 2mb cache, enermax case w/330 W. PSU, and a PNY Verto, 64MB MX-440-SE GeFORCE4 (it will be $30 after I send rebate, so about what I could afford, as I am not a gamer, but want to OC for fun). Anyone see any problems/ incompatibilities? I hope my gpu card can work with 8X. I also have 256 PC2100. Will that work to be able to post or boot to check that MB works, until I get a replacement, as I am planning on picking up 256 Buffalo 3200 or skimp for 512 crucial 3200(cl 3) 64Meg x 64 for $65 or 64Meg x 72 for $75 (about what my budget, which has gone over, can afford). I only have a 15 day return period to newegg, so I need to get this MB up and going, as it should arrive monday. I will aquire a good HSF, and fans for case, and that artic HSF for NB as soon as my money supply allows. (which will probably be awhile),
Any comments will be well appreciated.
