Timings at 2-2-2-5 and I'm running it at 434 MHz. Rock stable on prime for 3 hours and SANDRA burn in for 1. Anyone else get ratings like this?

XMS 3500.

I thought the memory wouldn't be able to handle such aggresive timings for sure and never tried it until today. I've had this damn stick for like 6 months now... sheesh.

It helps if we know what equipment you're using.

My xms pc3200 needs 2.75v to run 2.5-3-3-7 at stock (ddr400) fsb.

Is that normal, what would be the best average OC for 512mb XMS 3200C2 at 2.77Vdimm 2.0-6-3-3? I've seen 210Mhz @ 2.0-6-3-3 default vdimm 2.5V hopefully the one i get can do that or more and i'm happy:D . What have you folks seen or used?? Ty

My memory won't post at anything less that 2.5-3-3-7. I've tried 2-3-3-7, 2-3-2-7, 2-3-3-6, 2-3-2-6. All at 2.75v.

I can't get it to post over 250 fsb @5:4 divider with 3-4-4-8 and 2.75v. 1:1 I can post at 205fsb but it's not stable.

Looks like I got the really crappy 2700 chips that will do ddr400 min. and that's it.

Did I mention corsair suck?

and like you were told in your original post about it IT"S YOUR BOARD. stop spamming this thread with your BS. you're one of the few who've had a problem with corsair and it's because of your board not the memory!

Welldone, that's the first time i've EVER seen someone say this. Growup dude!! Learn how to troubleshoot before shooting off your mouth, or someone else seriously will shoot it off.

I think that bobby you should have done more reasearch about what RAM is compaitable with your Mother Borad before you bought expensive menory. Thats also goes with any computer part that anyone buys to put into there current system.

If you bothered to read, it's not my board or cpu. It was running fine at 263 fsb (5:4) with Twinmos but I was getting errors at 1:1 200fsb so I had to RMA them. I decided to go with corsair so I wouldn't have to put up with this crap.

It is the memory.

I don't believe I made any personal attacks on anyone. I'm sharing my experience with corsair memory and my theories about how they sell their ram. I've been working with computers for over 12 yrs professionally, over 18 yrs total.

Are you saying you're the big man to shoot my mouth off for me? Who's the one that needs to grow up?

ok so your board is known to work poorly with corsair XMS memory. you put corsair XMS in it and you think it's the memory's fault that it won't work right. than you proceed to say that the twinmos worked but you still changed it out because you were receiving errors.

maybe you're not as computer literate as you think. maybe you should take a step back and rethink things or listen to what people that know what they're talkin about (oc.com) tell you.

Well with lifetime warranty and a very good rma policy, send it back if you had any idea and SO experienced. So what are your theories on how they sell their RAM. How small are you, i'm not that big really, muscley but not big.

I can vouch for the fact that not all boards can handle Corsair RAM - or other highspeed RAM for that mattrer - very well. I had a KT333 board that would have loads of problems booting up DDR 2700 at default speeds without a major voltage hike. I even stuck some XMS 3500 in it to see if that would work: it was a little better but not much.

Also, another weird anamoly I've run into is that sometimes, particular RAM slots don't allow you to clock your memory as aggressively as others. For example, in my current mobo, an ASUS P4PE, my XMS 3500 has trouble hitting 420 MHz in bank 1. However, in banks 2 and 3, it can go as high as my other hardware can handle (right now, my FSB is limited by my CPU).

Thats pretty damn impressive, is it 101% stable at those timings? I guess that would be a 256mb dimm or is it 512mb?
PC2700 ram running at PC3500 speeds @ 2.7Vdimm with tighter then a virgin timings, I don't understand????
