Just bought it. Awesome :D

I just completed it on easy when i was gonna do it again on a higher level and then i thought "a lot of ppl seem to recommend WASD control style. I've tried it once but couldn't get into it.
Nethertheless, i decided to set myself up with a little 1 bot training ground for my new control style (i usually use the arrow keys and shift=jump, ctrl=duck, and i was now using WASD, L-shift=duck, space=jump).
I am getting used to it, still slightly confusing but then i remember when i firs played a FPS. it was HL (the original) and i found going round the hazard course like navigating the unchartered oceans at 15,000FT under with no diving suit:D, so i'll keep at it.

Just a couple of questions:

1. In (i think just DM mode) there is a new kills/death counter thingy that's DIFFERANT to the one shown in the book:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/arbital24/killthingy.jpg
I can't get used to it. What numbers mean what?

2. Also, what's the keys for the adrenaline abilities? forward (x4) is speed, and backward (x4) i think is boost (can't figure out what this does though, excpet put little green things around you?) but i can't figure out the others...

3. Also, can you turn off the adrenaline after a while so it doesn't use all of it up?

Thanks, ArBiTaL24

1. the 1 is what place you are in, the 6 is how many kills you are leading/losing by (positive number means your leading negative means your behind the leader by that many kills)

2. -backward(4x) is booster which increases you health by 5 until you have 199 and then it will increase your shield by 5 until you get to 150.

-up(2x) down(2x) is berzerk which makes your fire faster

-right(2x) left(2x) is invisible which well uhh...makes you invisible...somewhat

3. i dont think theres anyway to turn the adrenaline combos off to perserve adrenaline

The 5 is how many kills you have. The bot must have been at -1.

Indeed UT2K3 is a blaster game.... When I first purchased UT G.O.T.Y. some years back, I wasn't really sure I was going to like it.. but it was cheap and it had multiplayer.

Since then my favorite LAN game has become UT in either edition.

Cheers, Flix

Yea i do like UT, i still play it quite a bit.
The HL series as well, there's much more "thinking" and interacting with stuff in that, with UT it's just an all out bloodfest:D
Sometimes i prefer one and sometimes the other, just depends how i'm feeling, like now i'm feeling like blasting things.

ummm... c ya l8r, i gotta go and do...something...busy...(alt-tab to "Unreal tournament 2003":D)

I thought the 5 represented who many players were in the game? I'll have to check when I get home..

I just re-installed Ut2k3 for the first time after months of not playing. Where did all the people go? There is hardly anyone on anymore. :(

I thought it was your current kill streak? - that if you were to get killed, that would reset, and count up again as you frag...anyway, I judged UT2003, but since buying full game I have got into it a bit...just need broadband now
