agp 1.0 card in nforce2 mobo? will it fry?

can nforce2 mobo's use older agp 1.0 cards? I know most new intel chipsets will burn up if you put one in due to the lower voltage of the new cards.

specifically talking about an ATI Rage Pro that I'd like to use while i'm waiting for my radeon 9500np

The NForce2 agp runs on 1.5 volts. Seeing as how the apg 1 card runs on 3.3 volts yes it will most likely kill it.

but dosent 8x run on like 0.8 volts.

It might but the max limit is 1.5volts for the AGP.
