CIBC Convenience Card?

Can someone from Canada who has an account at CIBC tell me whether or not the CIBC convenience card they give you when you open a checking account can be used to purchase things online? I have went to CIBC's website but it's not clear.

im not sure, but i just got one and i know the bank associate.

ill ask when i go down there for my student visa.


edit: i beleive not, because my card is a debit card. unless yours is different, i dont think it'll work. unless youve found a site that takes debit cards...
