What exactly determines what sort of processor core you can use on your motherboard. Is it the FSB speed, the core itself, or some other factor. I've always been under the impression that the core type is transparent to the chipset and that something like the FSB speed was the dependent factor, because the chipset relies on a certain clock generator frequency.
