View Full Version : A-data
Adata pc 3200 with Adata's own chip has anyone used it or know anything about it, thanks
Im sorry I've never heard of that brand. But i do have a reccommendation if you want inexpensive RAM. Corsair valueselect is very good, so is micron RAM. Kingston Value RAM also is very good quality. I reccommend these over a lesser known brand. Samsung is hit or miss most of the time its good, but its difficult to RMA if its bad.
Hope this helps,

A-Data can rarely be found in the US, but the name is famous for doing insane overclocks. Nearly all the highest overclocks, on both the AMD and Intel side are done using A-Data DDR.
If there was a source in the US that sold some of their DDR 450 I'd buy some.
Thanks for the replies, I have also read the reviews on Adata doing insane overclocks hence my question but I think it was with Winbond chips? not there own, I have also seen the reviews on Twinmos 3200 and oredered some when it arrived had a really obscure chip and not Winbond as advertised so sent that back.
I think I will wait a bit longer and see what comes out as I don't want to keep buying twice, it's only the memory holding me back now with my overclocking, can get to 220 on the soltek board but errors with the ocz 3200 can't complain.

I'd buy it in a heart beat. There would be no question. A-Data memory is for real. Has anyone found a place in N.America? I highly doubt it but worth asking anyways.

Im all over it THX :)
The ram I'm using has V-Data chips, which seem to be some sort of subsidiary of A-Data. I think they are in fact the same thing, just rebadged. In any case, mine do great. I haven't actually played around with them too much, but they can do around 228 with 3.0v, but probably lower, since I haven't tried yet, and can do 222 with 2.8v. They seem to do about as well as Winbond-equipped models, and better in some cases.

U need 3.0v to get 228mhz? I use 2.85v to get to 250mhz+ on my OCZ PC3700 Gold. Are u PC3200 or something?
