Can you use a 3 to 4 pin adapter on Panaflo L1a's

These fans
at sidewinder computers it says: Please note, all 3 wire LEDs are present at the fan motor but not all 3 are passed to the molex connector.

The yellow one is a sensor, its the one that goes to the motherboard to tell you RPM, the other two are the positive and negative. Any normal adapter will work fine, I think they are talking about not passing the yellow to the molex as it doesn't.

are you sure. cuz www.heatsinkfactory.com sells "panaflo" tails for these. i was just thinking that they might need the special "panaflo" tail.
