remove a heatsink from an intel bases mobo?
it's pretty easy, depends on the heatsink really and what kind of clamping system it's got, just look at what is holding the heatsink down in the cpu bracket and just undo it... it's hard to explain :/

Your question is a little general, but for most socket systems, except 478, you can remove it by watching these videos

If it is epoxied on there, you need to freeze the epoxy.
