What is Karamba, what will it do for me and what is the difference between this and Super Karamba ?

Karamba is a program which displays various information on a KDE desktop. I've played with it briefly in the past, and was able to get it to display things like the current time, uptime, and various hardware information that you can get via lm_sensors (voltages, temps, etc). There are also themes that allow for the display of various other objects as well.

SuperKaramba looks similar, I'm not sure on the exact differences.

They provide all the same kind of stuff you can do with samurize and things like yzdock. You can use pre-made themes or create your own little widgets and displays for your KDesktop. Superkaramba adds python script funtionality, so its more versatile and also more resource-hungry.

Try www.KDE-look.org for some screenshots of karamba themes.

hmmm,anyone know how to make karamba use a certain themewhen it starts?Guess I need to do a "man karamba"...
