Right now i'm debating the IC7-G and the P4C800-E

Both are great boards.. except for one thing.. all the Asus boards do not support more than 2 Corsair Dimms. Why is this? I plan to have 1GB (2x512mb) in the board, but I would like upgrade room.

Anyone try it with more? Is performance the same between these two boards?

I have the P4C800 with 4 512MB Corsair LL PC3200 Dimms, works great, my timings are 2-3-5. Don't have a memory bandwidth figure for ya, cuz sandra won't do the benchmark on my system, dunno why, everything else works fine.

bah, asus doesn't even know their own board. Use cpuz to determine if its dual or single channel if you can. try Aida32 for another memory benchmark.

Thanks,

Slightly below the intel 875 MB running a 3.0 Ghz. Damn how is my 3.2 p4c800 slower than a 3.0 intel D875PBZ? I brought this board cuz all the benchmarks showed it owning the intel and other MBs, guess I'll have to play with the bios, and maybe wait for a bios update while i'm at it.
