Okay, I found this article the other day and I found it intriguing. I'm PO'd at VIA because even with their new KT600 Chipset, they aren't supporting Dual Channel DDR.
Anandtech KT600 Review

The front side bus (400MHz) of the latest Athlons matches perfectly the memory bandwidth from DDR400. The Pentium 4 needs dual channel memory. The Athlon does not.

Strange place to put a thread about an AMD chipset...

JohnMK is right, though. Dual channel memory is pretty pointless on AMDs with a DDR bus. Athlons already get enough bandwidth with 1:1 DDR.
