When Doom III comes out, I plan on building a single CPU gaming computer. I would just have it hidden under my desk in a simple handmade case. The idea of this machine would be to STRICTLY play games, I woudln't put anything else on there for fear of slowing it down. Because of this, I need to find a way to switch between the computers on my existing monitors. There is no reason for me to buy more monitors if I won't be using them all at the same time. I have two monitors, and I use both on my duallie. I am planning on making a box that will allow any of my 3 video cards to be displayed on either 2 monitors. (2 video cards on dualie, and 1 on gaming rig). Actually, the secondary card on the dualie wouldn't have to be displayed on the main monitor, so that would make things easier.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions as to how I could build this?

I may do something similiar with KBs & mice, but i think that would be a lot easier.

here is my sugestion, use two boxes for the monitors, stak em or something mod em together. and that way you can assign each one sepratly and even run both PCs at once if you need to for some reason.

well i'd like to be able to have these configs...

A = duallie main card
B = duallie secondary card
C = gaming rig card

1st monitor | 2nd monitor
A B
A C
C A
C B

and you can do that by having one 3 way switch for each monitor. i think maybe you are making it harder than it needs to be unles there is something spacific that having two 3 way switches wont give you... all of your cards are dual head right?

oh yea, ok that would work.... i guess i don't think right.

What I need are 3vga splitters, and then (2) 3female to 1 male selectors.

Perhaps a modified KVM switch?
