I was just wondering what psu you are using with your chips? And do you think it may be limiting it?

I am starting to see a problem prop up with them

I am using some no-name 300W unit that came with my Enlight 7237 or whatever it is. Output handles my modest requirements just fine. I have checked the outputs with a scope and the amount of switching transients on them are in the milivolts. From my experience, that's as clean as I need. EMI isn't very bad either. That's important as the machine resides in my radio operating room. I wwould not consider my hardware compliment dense by any standards, so YMMV.

400 watt Jinco (expensive and very well built) and a 530 watt Enermax. Despite the lack of a second fan, external power switch and all the hoopla surrounding the Enermax, the Jinco looks better inside.

Enermax EG451P-VE. Lots of stuff in the case w/heavy power demands, this fills the bill. I like it so much, I bought a second one for another box I'm currently putting together.

An Enermax 430watt PSU that has the dual fans. Could not afford one of those killer P/S's that had internal power conditioning and all that...
