XP pro istalled OK and even tripple boots with 98lite/w2k.

I got on the internet OK right after I installed the nForce2 NIC drivers.

In 98 & w2k you can set up netbui and setting up a LAN is easy once you sort out the permissions.

Not so with XP pro corp sp1.

I have all computers on the same WG but the XP box can't see the other two w2k boxes.

I tried the wizard and it tells me to use the XP CD to set up the other computers. Is XP that weird that it can't do a simple LAN connection without having to install it's files on all the others. I never saw a netbui protocol choice in XP.

you shouldn't need netbeui for an xp box to see 2k boxes

but i think the nwlink protocol covers netbbios/netbeui stuff as well as ipx/spx, could be wrong though.

Thanx 4 that linky Smokeys.

I installed netbeui and it's all good now.

Now all the computers are speaking the same non routable protocol.
