for all you other users of this HSF, could you please just settle mind over this...when you use your HSF does it seem to make no disernable noise difference until the last bit of the turn - then it goes stupidly loud?
I am asking this just incase mine is faulty or something - also is there anyway of modding these things to make the fan speed even lower - as I would like to all but turn the thing off with it
thanks
Dan
What is the prob with your Coolermaster Aero 7+.
I am thinking of buying one but would like to hear what you think about yours.

well the fan control that comes with it...although controls the fan - seems to do nothing until like the last 1/6th of the turn, then it goes goes loud for the rest...I was just wondering if it was normal - apart from that great hsf i recommend :)
i have this hsf and i like it since it gives good results.
I dont find this hsf loud at all since my case fans are even louder. Its pretty much silent until like the last 1/6 then it makes a little bit more noise. I can tolerate this the noise but not my tornado. That thing scared the hell out of me on the first try. Gotta get a rheostat on that crazy beast. Anyways aero7+ is perfect for me:)
So I guess what Nismo is saying is that he has the same thing.. Sounds like normal operation.
But can you set it where you want...hit the level of noise and performance that is right for you?

well not really...its either loud or not loud - the first 5/6ths of the turn produces the same amount of noise, then that last little bit just jumps it up suddenly
this is the loudest thing in my case, as it would otherwise be pretty much silent so I am a bit gutted there - I may buy some low noise fan to replace it.
Are you sure you have it setup right?
I had the same problem with a pair of PC speakers I bought a few years ago they had a dial for the sound volume. The dial had two lines coming out, one to the sound card and the other to the sub……when I switched them around it worked fine.
