What is the ideal temp for a K6 2-500 running @ 550

I would run it no higher than 45 or 46 C under load. I had mine overclocked as high as 560 (2.8 volts vcore) with a Epox MVP3G2. I would recommend not going any higher than 100 MHz FSB if possible, PCI devices and drives do not like that with the MVP3 chipset, even more so than on a KT133 or intel system. make sure you use good cooling, I used a intel HSF, one of the ones that comes stock on a P3 Flipchip. other things that may help would be to remove the aluminum plate that covers the core. and grease the core. good luck
