New Monitor

My monitor seems to be dieing, as I can now see the screen refresh, where as I couldn't before. It is a cheap $99 PHILIPS. Anyway, what is the best monitor you guys can come up with for under $175 that is 17" or larger? I need a moderate amount of quality, and high max resoloution would be nice.
