I need help!going for second o/c first one failedplease help

my first try at an o/c was a hard one, I had the msi k7t pro 6330 and an 800 athlon.I found out that with this board I had to change settings on processor not in bios..and well I smoked it.So now I have the msi k7t pro 2-a 6330 and an athlon 900,If I understand this right all I have to do now is close all L1's and do the rest in the bios,is this right?

current settings are-
cpu Vcore select-default
cpu Vio select-3.3v
auto detect dimm/pci clk- enabled
spread spectrum modulated-disabled
clock by slight adjust-100
cpu clock ratio-default

what should I set these settings at if I wat to try to get 1.2mhz or how do I work my way up to that?

OCing is a process of elimination first you bump on thing and if that works then bump something else... then start over , there are no exact settings each mb-cpu combo is different ;D
