View Full Version : OVERCLOCKING A7V Anthlon 850!!!!!

Ok my friends, i've managed to overclock this to 909 and i want MORE, i had it a 935 but it kept crashing.
Can somebody please guide me through the best way to overclock with stability i want to reach the 1GIG mark
i ajust my vcore to 1.80 and it keeps reseting itself to 1.50

I'm using Socket A AMD Anthlon 850
Asus A7V motherboard rev 1.02 BIOS 1.05C
256 megs pc-133

Make sure you have the latest BIOS flash.
Are you pushing the FSB more than the Multipliers or vice versa?
What are your temps looking like??

I've got an athlon tbird 800 running at 950 right now. I didn't have any luck changing the fsb, just jump up the internal multiplier using the jumpers on the board. It kept crashing when i tried to change the fsb. When i set the voltage to 1.85 it registers as 1.9 in asus probe and sandra. This gets me stable at 9.5*100=950. BTW, I tried to upgrade my bios to the 1005c from the 1004c and it wouldn't boot anymore, had to revese the bios to 1004c and it's rock solid.

had mine to 958 and it was as sable as it was at 850.....same board a7v
128mb pc133......but i had the standard fan and i didnt have a conductive pen so i havent pushed it too hard just the front side bus .....had it up to 112 and was stable tryed sisoft and 3dmark ran fine .......little warm but nothing to worry about ....

ran each test for 5 hours and it was still going ......
