I just ordered a MSI K7T Pro 2 A mother board to replace my dead pro and since this mother board is good for over clocking I figured I would. What I really need to know is what the cpu looks like after being modded with the pencil.A before and after pic would be nice too.

the arrow in the picture is pointing at the l1 bridges... have a look at them and you'll see what you have to do.

I used the rear window defogger repair kit, Get yourself a magnifier( i used a 10x,looked like a jeweler type) I put it on with a tooth pick. You need a steady hand but you can do it.If you have to ,use rubbing alcohol to clean it off.It took me three try before I got it where i wanted it but when I fired it up I had what i wanted.

You can use any method, honestly. I went with the pencil trick, mainly because I didn't have any rear window defrosting fluid, or a conductive pen and my anticipation got the better of me, just sharpened that pencil and went to town, worked first time!

I agree, the L1 Bridges are hard as heck to make out, took me a while to realize that the L3 and L1 bridges (the bridges circled in the top right corner) weren't connected. The L1 dots are VERY tiny, in fact they almost look attached, but they're not. Grab a Magnifying glass and take a gander. Should look like this in a before/after pic..

If you use a pencil, you gotta get that thing sharp as a knife, but it's possible. Good luck!
