I have an ABIT KT7-RAID MB and updated the bios from WT to WW. Now when I try to boot, my MB beeps for a long time, then shuts down. I looked the abit website and it says that it is from a faulty, improperly seated, or missing CPU. My hardware is practically brand new and I am not overclocking. Any suggestions or is my CPU dead?

Are you saying that the only change you made to your system was an upgraded bios?
Make sure you CPU fan is plugged into the appropriate fan header on the motherboard. Also, make sure the AGP card is fully inserted.
One last question. Why did you upgrade the bios? Were you having issues with the motherboard?

It was the fan (moved it from Fan2 to Fan1). I upgraded the bios just to keep everything on my system the most current.
Thanks for the help!
If something happened while you were flashing the BIOS you will need a new BIOS. Did you try pulling the battery and switching the bios clear jumper? If that doesn't work, you will probably need a new BIOS.
