How do I remove the bubble-blue XP login screen and transform it into a Win2k classic login ? I'm not asking how to remove the blue "welcome" screen, I wanna remove the roundness from the "classic" login screen and make it bootup in classic mode as soon as the WinXP logo finishes flashing. Anyone knows how to do that ?

you're never going to get rid of the 5 blue squares going back and forth, but you can just make your own startup screen and use BootXP to make the process easier. it won't look "authentic" because of the progress bar, but the rest will be all ok.
me, I just turned off GUI during startup.http://www.windowsxpatoz.com/cgi-bin/performance/index.cgi?answer=1036283066&id=1036282433

That's not exactly what I needed : I want to remove the login screen that is based on Luna, and make it look like the Classic Win2k login screen (no round corners on the dialog box, the play gray color of the box, ....) Because, even if you have the desktop put to Classic, or whatever other theme there is, it will still boot up and shut down (the dialog boxes) from Windows XP's Luna GUI.

The Luna "skin" is actually the default for the GUI. So, bizarre as it may seem, going back to classic doesn't remove Luna, it simply reskins luna with the old skin, much like Windowblinds can do.
For XP, Luna is default, so until the Windows loads enough of the session to support the GUI skinning, you're stuck with Luna.
There may be a work around this, but I do not know of any...
