Actually, I've been thinking about this as well. My theory so far (remember this is in THEORY as I haven't had a chance to try it out) - create a boot up disk on the cd and add the flash utility as well as the new bios file. Boot off of your cd-rom run the flash utility and there ya go. Also, I believe some of the newer mobo's can be flashed in windows using a different flash utility. If you have it, it should be on your mobo cd.

simply create a BOOT CD with the image you want to burn on it (oh and rember the Flash program)

If you have NERO, this is too easy as it provides a "CD - ROM (boot)" option for you.

you could also check into abit's flashmenu program. it flashes your bios from windows, so no floppy or cd needed.
just be sure to check for compatability first.

I always wondered why you never had an option to flash bios from a CD. I always wanted to just transfer the files to the CD but I always was worried about it because the system may write files to the floppy during the flash process.

No worries anymore, MSI also has a windows flash utility. - It's great!
