ok this is the situation. I bought a mobo/CPU/fan combo deal from egghead. (no laughing) It works great and was priced right $250.00 2 months ago ....but, the bios is weak and from what i've been reading here i'm missing out on alot of options i should have. So i'm gonna upgrade my mobo. I need all the input i can get at this point i am competely undecided on which mobo to buy. I currently have a Lucky-Star mobo w/ viakt133.

PLEASE HELP!!!
p.s. my main use for the PC is gaming Q3/unreal stuff like that

900 T-bird
300w p/s
Voodoo 4
Maxtor 30 gig 7200 ata100
cheap ars sound card
lots of multi-media stuff

Are you going to be running your processor at default speed? If not, what exactly do you have for memory?

The easy thing to do would be to recommend a KT133A chipset motherboard, but you may not require the additional multiplier/Fsb flexibility. So, in order to give you an answer that fits your needs, a little more info about what your intentions are would be cool. If you run the KT133A chipset on a premium board, your components must be able to perform with stability at a higher frequency.

I know, questions, questions.

i guess my main concerns are the multimedia end of computing like recording music through the pc (music that i would make and mix on my computer) also gaming i want stability at high res. (I know this has more to do w/ the video card Im waiting for the next breed of Nvidia's before i upgrade my Voodoo, but i've noticed different abilities of how grafics are handled on different mobo's)
for the memory end i have been reading here alot about it and have drawn some conclusions. i was gonna go with pc 133 (i forget the name of the company but everyone here raves about them)as far as the amount im not real sure how much is really needed to OC my CPU so any info you may have about that would be helpful too.
