View Full Version : new ram guys..
hey I thought of gettin' a new ram.
my TwinMOS PC3200 (TMD) is dissapointing me, I can't get 220 stable
I need a recommandation for a ram topped @ 230~ and will be cheap! I thougt of 512mb no need for a 1Gb and 256mb is not enough.
Thanks,
Suma.

Which chips are the TMD chips you're talking about- are those the non-TSOP sticks that are starting to roll out? (if so, where did you get them?)
My "old" TwinMOS/Winbond BH5 PC-3200 does 225Mhz @ 2.78v. Maybe you could try some of that or the CH5 stuff.
The Kingston HyperX stuff is supposed to be great also.

mine is as old as yours I asume
got them like 3-4 months ago.
HyperX are expensive aren't they?
The new OCZ gold 3700, Hyperx 3500, and buffalo stuff is pretty good but I dont think the buffalo pc3200 will out perform the twinmos you have.
jon i put the twnimos @ 2.9 as you said and no change, still topped @ 215. :(
I need some cash dude.
how about the GeiL Golden Dragon?
I heard that their sh*t is good..
how about the Corsair PC3200?
will they preform better?
Being is there is Pc4000 out right now for high fsb I wouldn't get anything less then some good brand pc3500.
hmm..
which brend jon?
Corsair XMS, HyperX, or Some GeiL Ultra Platinum?
All sound good to me except the Geil I havn't heard anything good about geil maybe that Dragon stuff may be ok but I would say cosair for PC3500.
oops,
I can afford Corsair Pc3200 XMS,
my dad has 1 stick of 256, so I thought of buying another stick and putting both in DC.
I think I'll try the Corsair on my sys and see how it works
