i have my Duron at 1ghz w/ the L-7,6,4 bridges modified. i have seen people talking about doing the L-1 bridges also. this machine is rock stable at the current speed. do i need to do the L-1's? and if i do, what benefit is there?
thanks for all your support...
The L1 bridges are the multiplier lock.
It sounds like your Duron is unlocked.....
How did u overclock? Did u use the multiplier? If u did use the multiplier, your Duron is unlocked, and then u don't have to anything to the L1.

I'm not positive, but I think the L7s control the multiplier (i.e. what the factory default is) so he changed the multiplier by cutting/connecting the L7s instead of connecting the L1s and changing it in the BIOS.
I can't remember where I read that though, so I wasn't able to verify. If anyone else knows, let me know :)

How do you changed (cutted) the L bridges?

I remember reading at www.tomshardware.com where they have all the bridge settings for different speeds for every Duron and Tbrid.
