I am running a TBIRD 1000 at 1120, and consistently have a temp read of 47 - 52 (after heavy CPU loads). I have seen other people write that they have temps of 32 - 40. Am I running too hot? I use a chrome orb and have 2 slot coolers, 2 case fans, 2 HD coolers, and 400 watt PS.

That Chrom Orb is the problem. You need a better heat sink my friend :)

Iv got a T bird 1000@1200 1.75V for the time being.
I'm using the PAL6035 with a GW fan at 38cfm,I put on a thin layer of Artic Silver thermal paste and my idel temp is 25-27c fulload is 35-27C depending on room temp. The orb is not a good cooler from my own experience's,i had a G-Orb on a C2 i had and never could get it as cool as i would have liked. I got my PAL from www.2cooltek.com.

Dont you go worrying yerself over those temps, there fine, get a better h/s if you get crashes cos of the temp but until then i've seen much hotter lasting for years.

Thanks everyone for replying. I think that i may keep this for a while longer and upgrade in like a month. What HSF would probably be the best for a reasonable price?

Hi,
Checkout this review on TomsHardware:

I think what you also have to remember is that temps vary according to how they are being measured, i.e. they will vary from motherboard to motherboard.
