View Full Version : 800 duron
Help!!!! I have a K7t Pro-2A (MS6330) Motherboard, Amd 800 duron, ran the voltage to 1.80, Have an AOC duron-Monster cooler, temp is steady at 95 at 850mhtz but the system locks up at about 870mhtz . I am only running windows ME, and at windows boot, just before adaptec cd recorder boots, it locks. What am I doing wrong? I have painted the L1 tags with conductive paint and unlocked the cpu, at 900 it becomes unstable. Help!!
Are you overclocking the multipliers, or the FSB, it makes a difference with this board, I have the same board and it became unstable when I pushed the FSB past 106.
Also, make sure you have the latest "overclockers" BIOS flash, you can get it by downloading here:
http://www.msi.com.tw/support/bios/mainboard/6xxx/k7tpro2/wk7tpro2v10b14.exe
<<<<Note, the above BIOS flash is for the K7T Pro 2-A (MS-6330) only>>>
Unless it has something to do with your OS, you shouldn't have any issues overclocking if you are pushing the multipliers... Try coming down on the bus and move up the Multiplier, and come down just a bit on your voltage... 1.75v was enough to get my 750 to 950. You shouldn't have to push that much voltage.
Keep an eye on those temps and double check your os
Good luck
The fsb I haven't touched. All I am pushing is the multiplier. Can't get it past 900. I will flash the cmos with the new download, see if it helps. thanks
