View Full Version : Western Digital Refurb.
Recently I had purchased two 200GB 8MB Western Digital Hard Drives from Newegg. To make a long story short both hard drives do not work and I am now exploring my options as to how to make the best out of the situation. I checked the warranty status on both Hard Drive's which Western Digital says to be still good and am wondering if I can call them up and ask for a replacement drive instead of them trying to fix the drive again (the drive already has a refurbished label on it). My question is, has anyone ever deault with WD regarding replacing refurbished drives? Whats the best course of action in a situation like this?
Could you RMA the drives for a exchange to newEgg? I'm not familiar with the policy on refurbished items.
I decided to send it back to Western Digital. They said the drives were still under warranty so I guess I'll be getting two new drives :)
