to get rid of this VERY annoying quote, run regedit.exe, goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\MAIN and find the entry entitled "window title"... then just replace this with something like

"<L337>"

instead of

"Microsoft Internet Explorer brought to you by Comcast High-Speed Internet"

that just bugged the crap out of me.

In that directory, I can only find an entry called "Window Placement". None of the values for any of the other entries were set to "MS Internet Explorer". Any clue what's up?

Also, while we're on the subject of MSIE mods, when I make new folders in My favorites, I cannot change the order they are in. I like my folders at the top, but if I make a folder and try to move it to the top of the list, when I restart the browser it goes back to its original place. The same thing goes for Links that are in there.

run regedit.exe, goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\MAIN
Add a new string key called WindowTitle(sometimes it's not there) and make its value the desired window title

Oops, didn't know I was supposed to add it myself - would've figured that was already a string. Works like a charm now though, thanks.
