What's the easiest way to go about getting rid of one of those Chieftec 'speaker style' fan grills? Do I have to cut it out or can it somehow be removed without actually hacking it up?

you have to cut it but if you take your time it will look good

I use a pair of wire cutters on my alumium case. Then went over it with a 60 grit dremel sanding wheel. It looks pretty good like that.

I tried it with a new set of cutters on my steal one and it killed my cutters before I could finish the first grill so I ended up using the old dremel with cut off wheels
