View Full Version : after unlocking what multiplier and fsb should i run on tbird 1gig
getting ready to start the process of unlocking i want to know what kind of results i should look for by changing the multiplier and fsb anyone got any sweet numbers for me too plug in ?? and also what about voltage what should i take it too so that it won't harm anything while gaming! thanks for any help you can give!
Well no one knows what speeds u will reach. That's a part of the fun when overclocking ( at least that's what I think!)
There are (basically) two things that will have an influence:
The chip. Some are more overclock able than others. Be lucky and get a god one.
Your cooling. The better cooling, is (almost) every time the way to higher speeds.
So get some good cooling, pump up the multiplier until it gets unstable. Then upper the volt, and then the multiplier, and then the volt....and so on. When u can't go higher with the multiplier, then upper the FSB until it gets unstable, then go a little down, and there u are! A nice OC. There is just one thing u should keep an eye on ALL the time: The temps! It's best under 50C, and do NOT get over 60C.
Good luck!
