Can I VR mod the toronado with SF2 controller???

Just got a Vantec Toronado. DAMN this things is L-O-U-D!!! I would like to may be add a variable control to the beast. I have one from a Smart Fan 2 that I am not using at the moment. Any way of using that? What exactly should I do as far as wiring it in?
