Audigy and Z-680 problem, No rear sound!!!

Ok, I have the coax hooked up to the digital port on the audigy. That's giving me my sub and two front L/R speakers. What else do I need to hook up, and to what (ie. what port on the audigy do I need to hook the rear and center channels to)?

Im sorry, but the Z 680 is digital right? if it is, there is only one port. the modes affect the sound output, as well as the file itselft. At compusa i could only get sound to come out the rear by switching it to dolby sound through the control pod.

doesn't the digital coaxial transmit all channels?? try playing a dvd with dobly digital or something, then u might hear some sound in the rear and center channels.

Did you set it to 5.1 in the Audigy software? Is this card an Audigy 1 by chance? If it is then I don't know of a way around it except to upgrade like I did. I had the same problem and couldn't get it to accept the speaker settings changes from 2.1 (default) to 5.1. I even installed new drivers and still couldn't get it to change....so I bought an OEM Audigy 2 from newegg and the problem mysteriously vanished. :rolleyes:

Personally, I think its just crappy Creative driver problem....that they are unwilling to fix.:(
