hey im in the middle of buyinga new system and want to hit a gig...i was wondering if its worth buying a pretested cpu. i mena...from what ive read it seems that most amd chips overclock pretty welll. ill prob start with a 750 or 800 thunderbird so should i invest in the pretested cpu?

If u buy a pretested CPU, there will be NO fun when u are going to overclock it. I ( as an overclocker) think it's a totally waste of good money, to buy pretested CPU's
That's what I think.

why now bra, there so cheap now, just go 4 1 and see what u can do. the money u save is the money u gain by not buying the "faster" stock chip. have some fun, and buy a Vantec HS. she'll keep ya cool.
