Soon as i go one point higher windows will not start.
The thing just keeps restarting Very stable at 195 but any higher
and it will not boot past the safe mode start windows normally screen :(
system temp is 40 to 41c load any thoughts?
bios is 7.2 all windows updates and drivers updated
Thank you in advance for your time :)

Make sure you have the memory set at 2.5v. Check voltages. I could not get past 180 with voltage past 2.5.

Also make sure you are set at auto detect PCI Clock..

and another thing, check the Northbridge cooling. Might not have an optimal coating of thermal grease.

Is that PC3000 or PC3200?? Might be the issue, this board is picky.

To me it sounds like its memory related.

Same thing happens on my 2400/K7N2. I get to 180 and nothing... but 179 is perfect. Hmmm? I think you may have just maxed your CPU?

Take all ram timings and voltage by SPD.

volt ram at 2.5v..

i got it there, i had the wall before, not now.. Are you unlocked??

Could be my memory the pc3000 seemed to be a good choice at the time but thinking i may have made a mistake now.

Was having a problem with some of my programs backed the fsb clock down to 189 and memory timings to 5-2-2-2.0 from 2-2-5-2.0
seems solid now
The system is running at 2174 40 to 43c with full load says 1.71 volts but not to sure about that test.
Seems like i should be able to get a bit more out of this thing but i guess not. :(

memory volts is at 2.6 i'll try backing it down to 2.5

Relax your memory timings to this.

CAS 3.0 -4-4-11

It might just work then...

Your pc3000 ram will be fine with the "by SPD" setting since this runs the ram at the memory manufacturer's 'serial presence detect' (SPD) specified speed and timings. Regardless of your cpu fsb, your ram will always be running at pc3000.

Also, what is your power situation: Power supply brand and ratings (combined watts, +3.3, +5 and +12 amp ratings).

How do your voltages look at the last stable speed?

Does that board offer the option of increasing the chipset voltage?

Current settings now are:

FSB Clock 189
CPU Interface= High Performance
AGP size 128meg
Dram Voltage= 2.5v
CPU Ratio 11.5
CPU Vcore Select 1.675v

T-(RAS) 5, T-(RCD) 2, T-(RP) 2, CAS Latency 2.0
Vcore =1.74
+3.3v =3.34 to 3.36
+5v =4.97 to 4.99
+12v =11.75 to 11.85
-12v = -12.11 to -12.19
-5v = -5.14 to -5.20
Battery = 2.97 to 2.99
5USB (v) = 4.99 to 5.01

running at 2174 around 41c to 43c loaded no problems with any programs at this setting

Hope that is some better info then I was giving before.
I loaded defaults and only changed the fsb clock to 192 and 11.5 @ 1.675 system was stable and ran at 2209 but it would should down my main game Dark Age of Camelot after only a few minutes of running which is what happens most of the time. Also at that setting I had to up the DRam voltage to 2.7 just to get windows to start.

Does it look like my memory is not getting enough power?
Thank you all again for your time.
