Chrome Orb on a K6-2

I've got this spare Chrome orb sitting around and I thought I might try it on my K6-2 system. I put it on, and it took some wrestling but I got it on. What I am wondering is if it has good contact with the aluminum plate on the processor - might it not be contacting the plate fully? I dont want to power it up until I can ascertain if it will cool it on any kind of acceptable degree.

Not sure about that one. Maybe extra thermal paste, or lap it down to fit. I've got a k62-450 to try it on. I'll let ya know how it fits mine. But one thing I've noticed with the so-called socket 7 fan, is it only covers part of the cpu anyway. Anyone else got any suggestions?
