Does XP Pro have the win2000 old school "Ctrl+alt+del" at logon? I'm trying to see if there's a way to do it in XP Home too. From Microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=291559#Task1):

Require Users to Press CTRL+ALT+DEL Before the Classic Logon Screen Is Displayed
If you want to set up a requirement for a user to press CTRL+ALT+DEL before the classic logon is displayed, in the same manner as it behaves on Windows XP Server:

Click Start, click Run, type: regedit, and then click OK.
Select the Winlogon subkey at the following registry location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Click Edit, click New, and then click DWORD value.
Change the value name to "DisableCAD" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.
Keep the data value set to 0 which is displayed as 0x00000000(0).

Anybody done this before? Did it work for XP Home?

Couldn't you just use the Group Policy Editor to do it? Or does home not have that?

Nope, home doesn't have that - even went to safe mode to check.

You should be able to change the logon through "Local Security Policy"...Start | Run | Type secpol.msc and hit OK | Security Settings | Local Policies | Security Options | Right click Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL-ALT-DEL and select "Properties" | Tick the "Disabled" radio button. :)

Nope, Home doesn't have that. I'm trying to read more into backing up the registry. I guess I will try the reg tweak tomorrow and see what happens.
