I want to get a T-Bird 1.2 I have an fop32-1, I read that some people filed down or removed the rubber feat on the chip for better connection. Should I do this?
Don't unless you have to. The feet provide a level surface for the hsf. Make sure you have a light layer of thermal compound on the CPU, then put on the hsf. When you take it off, you can tell by the traces of compound whether you have a good connection.

Thanks for the reply.
you should only remove the feet if you plan to install a copper shim

Unless the copper shim has the cut out for the feet. In which case, that one would be the best to go with, since it won't slid around once you mount your HSF to it.

ATTENTION: Update to my last post.
BE VERY CAREFUL to check and see if there is any play in the spacer, there was play in mine that I did not notice (since i'm not the one who installed it) and I do believe is the root of my booting / lock up problem.
