I need a new Tbird chip...650-800 blue core.
Only problem is the places that offer blue core in the description also sell oc systems.
I might be wrong but these places get in CPU's and test them all, keep the good ones and sell the junk to the rest of us, might OC might not, so I am looking for a place that sells sealed boxed untis for decent prices.
IS there such a place?
Hey I don't mind taking a chance but I don't need to
play against a stacked deck.

Can you get a blue core in retail or just oem?

thanks for answers to this I might be a little crazy but I have a good suspision that you can't get an overclockable chip from an overclock dealer.

thanks again
sparks

ps --is it true that the kt7a won't do 133, timing and boot problem of some kind when trying to oc ?
If not Abit whats next best that doesn't have this problem?

Don't quote me on this, but it is from my understanding from some friends I know that the last released blue/green chips within the past month are no difference, just the color.

I got this info from a guy who used to work at a computer parts distributor and he got it from employees who still work there.

Like I said, take this for what it is worth, but they said that there is no difference other than color. They both run the same and are both just a heat tolerant than the other.

Any reputable place (and there are a few) will advertise pre-tested CPU's for what they are.

Don't know if my Duron is Aluminum or Copper. It's the Mobile Spitfire 600 Mhz and it runs merrily along at 1G.
