Well Ive been stumped over this for the past few days, so i finally decided to take my new baby to the shop for some expert advice. heres the problem, i just bought this;

Abit KT7133 Raid
T-bird 950
1 256mb pci133 ram
Deskstar 75GXP 30gb harddrive
ATI Radeon 32mb DDR

Thats all the important stuff, it wont even boot so ill leave the rest of the accesories out.

Now for the problem, I hooked everything up, pluged everyhing in, didnt try to overclock or anything, was EXTREAMLY carful, used static belt, everything, and it dont boot. I just get the long, constant beep. Its not even a repetition of beeps, just 1 long one, so i knew something was seriusly wrong. Ive heard of 3 short beeps, check your ram, 3 longs beeps, check your GPU is somewhat of a standerd code for beeps, but never 1 long continuous beep, and then a shutdown after apx 5 secs of beeping. I took it into my lil local computer guy, and he is going to have a look at it. He said that 1 long beep usually means your mobo is bad, and that he is going to run some test on the mobo. Im going over there tomarow to see whats going on with my baby.

BTW I forgot to mention this it might have some importnace, there is no moniter output, if i boot it up with moniter hooked up, nothing. I also thought that i hooked the fan on wrong, becuase i read in the manual about beeping, and alarms. It will beep and shut down if its to hot, so i thought that was it. The computer guy double checked it, and said it was on right and was very impressed with the strength of the delta black label, lol.

Well,i had the same thing happen to me the first time I booted mine up(I'm using the KT7A-R also),It gave a long beep and shut down,I took my RAM out of the no.1 slot and moved it to the 2 slot and it fired up.I'v had 2 instances since ,When I boot it up it gives a long beep then shuts down,I start it up again right after and it boots fine. Go to the Abit web site ,it has some info about this,iv got some better ram coming and Im going to c if that might be it(I wanted to get some anyhow) If that doesnt work then ill try reseating the bird.

I know it sounds stupid, but the abit board isn't labeled, the best. If you hook up the CPU fan to the fan 2 instead of fan 1 connector, you can get a long beep and no output to the monitor at all.Good luck.

single beep is video issue.......3 continuous beeps is memory issue. Simple as that. Just figure it out. You know it's video related man, Not detecting video card...............or something is not configured correctly on video ...pretty basic. Look to specifics for that board and video card. Try another card or a different configuration on video. Good luck!

It is possible it could be memory too, but I doubt it. I'd have to hear it, but I'm sure it's simple regardless. Patience is key...just break it down.
