Hi this is probably a damn newbie-question but I need to know if its worth spending money on faster T-Birds...
are the few 100 Mhz more worth the money? I mean.. a oced 700 goes to approx. 1000 or a bit higher with decent aircooling, a 1200 to ~1400...
so, from a gamers point of view... is a oced 1200@1400 (which goes for ~ 367 USD here) worth it, or is a oced 700@1000 (which is ~ 133 USD here) enough?
thxiie :)
I would say NO! Think about it, thats a 300 dollar difference. If you got the 700, and used it for 6 months or so, then took the 300 you saved and spent it on a new processor, you would probably be well over 1.3 gigs.
http://www.econopc.com/ Has AMD TBIRD 1.2 gig for 246 or something like that.. I think you have to call up and ask for the pricewatch price to get it that cheap though.

yeah but not in Europe :) I ordered a cooler @ coldcpu.com once... beside the awfull long delivery time they added some kind of tax and the whole thing was not really worth it... I'd really appreaciate living over the ocean when I can see all that offers you got... 256 PC133 RAM for 89 bucks... AAAAAAHHHHH :)
