I have a Soyo 5EHM mobo and a k6 2 450 @500. When I run WCPUID it doesn't show that I have L2 cache. I have 1 meg on my mobo. Is this normal since WCPUID displays info about the CPU not the system? Is there another prog that will display all system properties better?
Please help guys.....

WCPUID can only see your CPU data, and won't acquire data from your mobo. This seems to be a major problem with K6 CPU's. Not any appz that I know which will display. Tried SiSoft sandra yet? But I guess it won't know either.

Thanks I'll try that and see what info I get.
May be time to upgrade. Woohoo.....

Alright guys, let's use the old noggin here.
Remember why motherboard "cache" size was so important back in the day of Socket 7 CPU's? because a socket 7 CPU (all except K6-3 and K6-3+) has ONLY L1 cache. You can try anything you want but a K62 will never have an L2 cache.
Your L2 cache is on your motherboard. I think most mobo's that could handle a K62 had between 512k and 2 MB of onboard L2, or used a COAST (cache on a stick) module. I had a Epox MVP3G2 that had 1 MB L2.
WCPUID analyzes the CPU, not the motherboard. Of course it's not going to tell you the info re: L2 cache.

That makes since. Guess I didn't really think it out. Sisoft gave me much more system info. Thanks guys......
