My windows xp cd burner driver has gone kaput and it won’t let find it on the cd because it does not recognize any of my optical drives.

I tried searching in google but as you can imagine imputing generic xp cdrom driver bring up every driver possible.

I tried searching the forums to no avail so can someone tell me what the .ddl is and were can I download it from?

I know I can do a repair install but I want to avoid it because it takes forever to download all the new updates again.

Thanks

Have you recently uninstalled any CD burning software? I know EZCD loves to leave systems with no optical drives (once uninstalled)
